Product Description

Tinted glass is manufactured by mixing molten glass with a prescribed quantity of a tinting agent. This mixture flows through a tweel into a tin bath and then to the lehr. While floating through the molten tin, gravity and surface tension ensure the glass becomes perfectly smooth and flat on both sides.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary benefits of tinted float glass?
Tinted glass provides excellent solar control, reducing glare and heat gain while offering UV protection (40-99%) and aesthetic variety for architectural applications.
What is the standard delivery timeframe?
Generally, it is 5-7 days for in-stock items. For custom production or non-stock items, the lead time is approximately 15-20 days depending on the order quantity.
Can I request samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes, samples are provided free of charge. However, the cost of freight for sample delivery is typically covered by the requester.
What customization options are available for project orders?
We offer comprehensive processing including CNC precision cutting (±0.5mm), edgework (polished or pencil), hole drilling (min 20mm), and silk-screen pattern applications.
How is the glass packaged for international transport?
Glass is packed in waterproof A-frame plywood crates with corner protectors. A standard 20' container typically holds between 1,100 to 1,400 panels depending on thickness.
Are the products certified for construction use?
Yes, our tinted glass complies with ISO 9001 standards and ASTM C1036. High-thickness panels (8mm+) are impact-resistant and suitable for curtain wall applications.
