Laminated glass consists of two or three layers of glass "sandwiched" together with a clear or colored PVB interlayer. It is a safety glass that combines aesthetic benefits with genuine protection. It offers superior resistance against breakage, harmful solar rays, and hazardous noise levels.

Due to the adhesive properties of the PVB, careful precautions are taken to prevent unwanted particles from attaching to the interlayer during the adhesion process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What happens when laminated glass breaks? Laminated glass holds together when shattered. The PVB interlayer keeps the glass bonded even when broken, resulting in a spider web cracking pattern, which prevents dangerous sharp fragments from falling.
Q2: Can laminated glass block UV rays? Yes, laminated glass provides superior UV blockage. Depending on the thickness, it can reduce UV transmittance significantly, protecting interior furniture and fabrics from fading.
Q3: Does it provide soundproofing benefits? Yes, the PVB interlayer has excellent sound damping properties, making it an ideal choice for reducing noise levels in offices, homes, and shops.
Q4: What are the standard thicknesses available? Common total thicknesses range from 6.38mm to 17.52mm. Popular configurations include 3+0.38PVB+3mm, 4+0.76PVB+4mm, and 6+0.76PVB+6mm.
Q5: Is the glass customizable in terms of color? Absolutely. You can choose from various glass colors (Blue, Bronze, Green, Grey, etc.) or use colored PVB interlayers (Milky White, Ocean Blue, etc.) to achieve the desired aesthetic effect.
Q6: What certifications does your laminated glass hold? Our glass products meet international quality standards and carry certifications such as CCC, ISO, CE, and AS/NZS2208.
